Who is
Tim Samuel,
CPA?

Tim Samuel is a CPA and fractional CFO for churches. He began his career at KPMG, serves on the Maryland Association of CPAs Board of Directors, and serves as CFO of Bridgeway Community Church, a multicultural church of 5,000 from more than 50 nations in Columbia, Maryland, for nearly two decades and counting. He helps church leaders in the $2M to $10M range freeing them from financial confusion so they can make confident decisions and create future opportunities.

Why I do this

A calling, written down
long before the credentials.

Tim’s career started as a sentence in a yearbook and clarified, years later, in front of the Taj Mahal.

The numbers were always going to serve something bigger.

In 8th grade, asked what he wanted to do with his life, Tim wrote “church ministries” in his yearbook. He did not yet have the language for it, only the pull.

The calling came into focus at age 24, on a trip to the Taj Mahal. Standing before something built to outlast generations, the pieces lined up. He would use the discipline of accounting to serve the church, and the people inside it, for the long haul.

So he became a CPA. He trained at KPMG. Then he spent nearly two decades inside one real, growing church, learning the weight of donor trust and the difference clear numbers make to a tired pastor. That is the lens he brings to every church he serves now.

You are not alone if your church finances feel messy. I fix that.

Most accountants do not understand the weight of donor trust. Most pastors did not train to read a balance sheet. Tim speaks both languages, and he has the record to prove it.

Foundation
The Bridgeway story

From financial chaos
to strategic clarity.

Tim serves as CFO of Bridgeway Community Church, a multicultural church of 5,000 from more than 50 nations led by Dr. David Anderson. It is the kind of seat where the pressure is real, and he has sat in it for nearly two decades and counting.

Across those years he has helped lead the church through debt payoff and the move to connected, trusted financial systems, the steady work of turning month-to-month worry into clear, confident decisions.

That is not a slide in a pitch deck. It is the work, lived out, inside one congregation over nearly two decades. It is the same patient, steady approach he now brings to your church.
